Ignite Performance uses Zoom© to provide remote video services. Zoom© is a cloud-based meeting tool which combines video conferencing, online meetings, and mobile collaboration into one platform. It is a reliable, high-quality and easy to use tool that is easy to connect and collaborate.
A Zoom© account is NOT required if you are joining as a participant of an Ignite Performance Remote Learning session. We will send you a Calendar Invite. All you will need to do is to click on the link in the invite. We recommend that you test the link prior to the session beginning to ensure your Sound and Video are working. You will need the following:
When you’re invited to participate in a Zoom© meeting arranged by Ignite Performance, you’ll receive a calendar invite with instructions similar to what you see in the adjacent image (click to enlarge). You can either click on the link provided, or go to the Zoom© web site at https://zoom.com/ and click on “Join a Meeting” where you can enter the 9 or 10-digit Meeting ID number. Closing any applications you don't need for the meeting will improve the quality of your connection. Audio is integrated in the meeting.
You’ll be presented with the following screen if Ignite Performance hasn’t started the meeting at the time you join. We recommend that you check your audio settings while waiting for the meeting to start. If you're an individual meeting participant, we recommend wearing headphones to avoid audio feedback.
You can learn more about joining a Zoom meeting here in this short 3 minute video.
The Zoom© menu bar appears at the bottom of the Zoom© window once the meeting begins. If you don’t see the menu bar, move your mouse slightly and the bar will appear. (The bar disappears after a few seconds when in full-screen mode.)
No problem. Your Ignite Performance facilitator will introduce you to the main features of Zoom© at the beginning of your session. You’ll be chatting and submitting responses to 'Polls' before you know it.
If you’re experiencing issues with Zoom©, after reading this 'quick guide', please access documentation that is available via the Zoom© online knowledge base: https://support.zoom.us/home.
